For 2019, I am planning to join at least 2 running events [Would have set the target higher if not for my weekend classes].
Why join them in the first place?
- Bonding opportunity with N / friends
- The paid 'freebies' : medal, t-shirt, drinks, vouchers etc
- Motivation to wake up super early. Let's be real. If you're running on your own, it is very unlikely you'll wake up at 5am to get ready to run at 6 or 7am.
As of today, I've already met my target! (and counting - I've registered for the Standard Chartered run as well. We'll see if it clashes with my 3rd semester schedule later in September)
Twincity Marathon (5km) - Cyberjaya, 20th January '19
The first edition of this run was co-incidentally my first running event, ever (back in 2014).
So on their 5th year anniversary, I joined this event again (with N, this time).
Larian Wilayahku (7km) - Dataran DBKL, 17th February '19

May 2019 be better; in all aspects.
The feeling of striking off your resolution list : priceless.
