Kuantan Food Hunting Diary

Penning this down for future references; the places we visited during our anniversary trip.

I was excited about eating seafood in Kuantan (of course!). I always, always visited Ana Ikan Bakar Petai and this was my first time at Mail Ikan Bakar following the glowing recommendation I read online. So we ordered ikan bakar, udang masak pedas and sotong goreng tepung. Truth be told, it was mediocre at best. The sambal was too spicy, lack of flavor. The squid was okay but overall, I still prefer Ana Ikan Bakar over this place.

I've been here a few times before for it's curry mee. So I brought N here. He was a little bit underwhelm 😂 and said the soup was watery. Much preferred the one at Kg Bharu and even Ah Cheng Laksa. LOL!

The downside of bringing my husband along to all these eateries is his elevated palate. Haha Seems difficult for him to give 5 star rating to restaurants. And Lila Wadi is another example. Albeit all the good reviews we read online, we felt it was a tad overpriced and mediocre.

Warung Poksu and Moksu. A humble stall but very popular during lunch time. Everything was cheap and delicious!! Will definitely visit this place again.

Kula Cakes, never fail to deliver. We had the OG mango cheesecake, pavlova and burnt cheesecake.

Many more places to discover in Kuantan. Looking forward to another visit!
