My Hospital Bag for Delivery at Andorra Hospital

Hi! I'm going to share the list of things I've prepared in my hospital bag versus the things that I actually need (for future reference). But bear in mind, these are tailored to my experience in Andorra Hospital. You may need some other items should you gave birth at other hospitals.

What I brought; 1 cabin bag, 1 gym bag and 1 nursing pillow. [Hint : It's too much]

Essentials

  • Identification Card
  • Medical Record (Buku Merah) + Appointment Card
  • Credit Card / ATM Card / Guarantee Letter

Food (Not only for me, for N to munch as well)

  • Chocolate - KitKat, Snickers
  • Biscuits - Oat Biscuits, Belvita
  • Sunsweet Prune
  • Horlicks 3 in 1
  • Straw set (in case C-Sec and can't bend down to drink water)

Hygiene and Beauty

  • Toothbrush + Toothpaste
  • Face wash
  • Face towel
  • Deodorant
  • Makeup (if you feel like it)

My Clothes

  • A spare t shirt
  • Kain batik
  • Telekung
  • 3 pair of thick socks
  • 3 tudung sarung
  • Disposable panties (I bought from Lunavie and Shapee)
  • Going back clothes - skirt, long blouse
  • Sweater

Baby's Items

  • Barut
  • Handkerchief
  • Blanket
  • Bedung
  • Baby lotion + Baby oil
  • 2 Diaper Newborn (just in case)
  • Wet wipes (just in case)
  • 2 long sleeve zip bodysuit
  • Socks + Mittens + Hat

Breastfeeding (Planning to pump and bottle-fed after 3 weeks)

  • Nursing pillow
  • Haakaa breast milk collector
  • Nipple cream
  • Breast pad
  • Nursing bra
  • Breast milk cup + syringe

Miscellaneous

  • A flip flop
  • Maternity pad + overnight pad
  • Hot pack
  • N's change of clothes
  • Belly binder / Bengkung
  • Charger + Power bank

Quite a lot, right? But in reality, if you're giving birth at Andorra these are all you need;

Food-wise, you're gonna be fed well. Don't worry! Haha Plus there's a cafe on the ground floor, you can also order food from Chef Zubir's restaurant and during the day, there are a lot of food trucks nearby. A pack of Sebamed toiletries and a thick towel (you can bring these home!) are provided.

For the baby, the only things needed are the going-back-clothes plus blanket and handkerchief. While she's still at the hospital, everything is taken care of.

Hope this helps!
