TEDxKL 2013

Yesterday [3rd August] I got the opportunity to attend TEDxKL. Yayyyy!!! A million thanks to TalentCorp for the free tix.

It costs RM150, mind you.

For those who are unfamiliar with TED talk, Imma do a short intro here. 

Basically, TED started out as a conference series back in 1984; bringing people from Technology, Entertainment and Design together. 

Hence the name TED.

There are two annual TED conferences (in the UK and US) and the entrance ticket cost not less than USD4,000 for a four-day event. 

It can go up to USD12,000!!!

*cries*

What makes it so expensive?

Well, TED gathers the most fascinating people, inventors, doers and thinkers who are to deliver a speech in less than 18 minutes each.

Can you imagine a conference with many awesome speakers, talking in such limited time yet has the ability to inspire?

Fret not as the TED conference are now available online at www.ted.com.

So now.

TEDx is one of the TED babies. It is a program of local, self organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience.

It is being held in many major cities around the world.

I missed the one in Berlin and Munich but thankfully Alhamdulillah I had the chance to attend this fifth installment in Malaysia. 

Emotional, motivational and so liberating that I cried during the talk.

Lame!!
